The Ministry of Treasury and Finance is authorized to determine residence permit fees under Law No. 492 on Fees, taking into account the principle of reciprocity.
Pursuant to Article 88 of the Fees Law; students studying in Turkish schools or faculties, Turkish descendants, holders of long-term residence permits, and foreigners who are victims of human trafficking are issued residence permits free of charge.
Furthermore; citizens of Czech Republic, Denmark, Ireland, Kosovo, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Syria, Turkmenistan, Palestine, and TRNC are exempt from residence permit fees.
Residence permit fees for citizens of countries subject to fees are collected based on the amounts in item III/1 of tariff No. (6) attached to Law No. 492:
